Landscaping Technician

DAYS/HOURS/SHIFTS: FT 6am-3:30pm Mon-Fri.

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for maintaining the grounds in accordance with the annual schedule; using equipment such as push mowers, trimmers, weed-eaters, blowers, etc., in a safe and proper manner under limited and/or minimum supervision. Possess knowledge and an understanding to trim shrubs and trees; possess knowledge of irrigation installation and be able to trouble-shoot existing irrigation, including valves and clocks, under minimum supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must have 6 months experience working grounds. High School graduate or G.E.D. Diploma is desired. Effectively read, write, and communicate in English. Must have valid Arizona driver's license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to walk long distances and at times may be required to bend, stoop or crouch, and climb ladders. Must be capable of working in the extreme heat during the summer months. May be exposed to the elements of weather (heat, cold, rain, dust, noise, fumes), unsanitary conditions and a variety of toxic chemicals. Must be able to life up to 100 pounds.
